Gearbits: Gear Angels is a 2D side-scrolling shoot 'em up.

You must defeat the invading alien fleet to save the planet! Your shield will protect you and your weapons can blow away entire squadrons of alien ships. The catch is, your energy depletes fast. You'll be in trouble if it runs out! The shield won't protect you and your attack power is reduced. But at maximum energy, you can fire powerful shots that pierce enemies and shrug off lethal hits with ease!

Recharge energy for fast paced gameplay!

You have to keep moving at all times! Evading the enemy is not enough! You also have to collect energy to counterattack!

Multiple playable characters

You can choose from three different characters. Each one has unique parameters to shake up the gameplay.

Gearbits intergration!

After successfully clearing the game, you can transfer your save file, to unlock new characters in Gearbits.

Seems like a fun one. Bravo for trying something new but I personally don't like the "overheat" mechanic or whatever, where the more you fire the weaker you get. Waiting for weapons to recharge while waves fly by is kinda boring and seems counter to this kind of kind of gameplay. Especially with bosses it feels like being punished for playing the game. Neat to try something different though, maybe you can find ways to keep the mechanic but not be disruptive to gameplay. Or just ignore me. :) Thanks for the game, hope you find lots of success.

Thanks for the comment. I was planning that the energy running out would encourage the player to be more active with collecting the powerups. But of course, you can't do that, if you have no weapons to defeat enemies with. I agree with the enemies flying by. Since the player is not required to defeat them, the game allows the player to be way too passive.
