Mission mode update

The mission mode update is here!

I've finally added story content to the game. You can try out two different missions, each designed to take advantage of all the assets I've made so far. I've designed the missions to be pretty easy, so even a first time player should be able to complete them. Even so, I've only seen a few testers play the levels. That's why feedback is extremely important right now! Is the game too hard? Should it be more diffucult? I don't know! Please tell me!

This update is a huge leap because of the missions (maybe a bit too huge, I should release smaller updates at smaller intervals) but I've also added some smaller features.

First up, the UI has been revamped again. This time it's more of a cosmetic change, the controls have stayed the same.

The repair drones have been added. They replenish the players health and ammo. They have been coded to spawn with a script that pulls a random number between zero and the players current health. If the random value is smaller than a quarter of the players max health, it will spawn a health replenishing drone. Otherwise, an ammo resupply drone is spawned. Basically the less health you have the more likely you are to get a health pickup. Or if you have less than a quarter of your health left, you get a guaranteed health pickup. Defeated enemy GBs have a chance to drop a crate that can be broken to release a resupply drone.

The automatic turrets are here! They aren't that exiting to be honest. They are basically stationary tanks.

The flamethrower has been added. The flamethrower uses the same script as the cannon. But instead of spawning a bullet. It will spawn a cone. Anything inside the cone will take damage. If the damage is received by an insect, the game will add a flame object to the insect. The insect will take damage as long as the flame stays active.

The next feature I should add is a more robust save feature. Something that saves the game in an external file. Other than that, it's gonna be making assets and designing missions from now on. With some occasional new features, like new weapons and enemies. But before that, I'll try to take a few days off and not think about the game.

Also, since I finally have some missions, I'd like to see someone play them. So if you are making a video about the game, or you know someone who does, please let me know. Watching someone play the levels would really help me get a fix on how I should proceed with designing future missions.
